Extra Information:
Isle View has 14 rooms which we offer as single ensuite, and 7 rooms with ensuite shower facilities. Some of our rooms are fitted with overhead hoists for the more physically disabled. We have the additional facility of 3 varied specialised baths for the physically disabled in seperate bathrooms throughout the home. There is a small 4 bedroomed dementia unit attached to the main home, with its own kitchen/living room area. We also have one bedsit flat that has its own kitchen and ensuite toilet/shower facility that enables us to offer an additional rehabilitation or transition service between supported housing and residential care. Two of our single rooms have a larger floor area, and this enables us to offer shared accommodation if required by service users.
We believe that training is essential to providing quality care and all our care team are encourage to undertake training. Our core care team currently comprises 7 RGNs, 4 Carers with SVQ Care Level III, one carer with SVQ Care Level II, and 4 carers undertaking SVQ Care Level II. Care staff have also undertaken training in dementia care, pallative care, incontinence training, amd many other topics identified as beneficial to the service provided. The care team are encouraged to recognise not only their own development needs, but the development needs of the organisation as a whole to ensure the care service we provide evolves alongside the needs of our service users.
