Social media is now accepted as being not only a significant development of the Internet, but also responsible for a major shift in how we communicate and interact as a society. As individuals, groups and businesses, we are all turning from being knowledge consumers to knowledge producers, this is the case for Scottish Care

Social media is the use of the Internet and web based technologies for the sharing of information on events, resources, knowledge, videos, conference podcasts, project updates, ideas, progress, opinions and  media itself, between our members, partners and the general public. Scottish Care wants to ensure it can reach a full range of partners small and to large but simply, that its information is accessible by all. 

Examples of  well known social media websites include Linkedin, Facebook, MySpace, Bebo,  YouTube and Twitter. Examples of social media tools include message boards, blogs, wikis, and podcasts. For informatinand sharing  purposes and with a view to reaching the wider audience to whom our site is of benefit, we have chosen to use some of social media platforms and hope that you will find these benefical.
