Scottish Care has a membership of over 400 organisations, with over 800 services working across care home, care at home and housing support services.

The membership is made up of larger corporate organisations as well as smaller groups and individual standalone providers.

As we have members throughout Scotland we have a vibrant branch structure which is made up of Scottish Care members and branch chairs, which are chosen by the local area membership. They organise local meetings which take place around 4 times a year, with the agenda chosen by the chair and members.

These meetings are at the heart of Scottish Care for the membership, as they provide support, information, a place for safe discussion, opportunities to invite guest speakers, and a means of feeding into Scottish Care’s committees and activity. Information passing is a two way process and it is crucial that Scottish Care at a national level is aware of issues facing providers at a local level, in order to provide support, help and advice to the branches.

The membership has the opportunity to meet together on an annual basis at the AGM, as well as extraordinary meetings arranged centrally.  There are also 2 important conferences, exhibitions and awards evenings hosted by Scottish Care each year to celebrate and share the work undertaken by the membership.
