    7th November 2012

    Our National Care Home Conference, Exhibition & Care Awards will be held on Friday 23rd November 2012 in the Hilton Hotel, 1 William Street, Glasgow.

    Lord Sutherland of Houndwood, President of Scottish Care, will open the conference, followed by Ranald Mair, CEO of Scottish Care, who will launch Scottish Care’s Policy Paper on Joint Commissioning in Scotland.  Annette Bruton, CEO of the Care Inspectorate, will then discuss the role of the regulator in making positive care happen. This will be followed by a panel discussion, featuring representatives from CCPS, NHS Scotland, CoSLA and provider organisations, plus more.  The conference will explore a variety of topical issues and examples of positive care being made a reality, including a special performance from a care home choir.  The afternoon will see a Ministerial Address from Shona Robison MSP, as well as a speech from Rory Mair, CEO of CoSLA, on making strategic commissioning and sustainable funding possible.  There will also be discussions on ‘My Home Life’ and its implementation, and a question and answer session.

    The conference offers;
